My Thoughts on Reviews
Review culture for escorts is a controversial topic. I think reviews were more essential back in the day, before FOSTA-SESTA. Then, there were more sites in which clients controlled the narratives and reviews could make or break a person’s career. Luckily, I came on the scene just before the end of that era, and I have only experienced a small amount of strife from reviews. I’ve found reviews to be largely helpful, especially on sites that discourage explicit ones, like PD.
Review Controversy
However, I can understand why some people don’t like them. Most of my frustrating review experiences come from the site TER, which stands for The Erotic Review. One thing I dislike about that site is that the reviews can not be a 10/10 experience unless you offer certain services like anal. Second, the reviews have to be explicit. I don’t love to kiss and tell. I do like for there to be a bit of mystery and privacy as to what goes on behind closed doors.
Lastly, I don’t like that the clients can rate you on looks. All my reviews have 7, 8, 9, or 10 for looks. But honestly, does anyone want to be told they are a 7?? I know I am attractive to many people, and I also know I am not a supermodel type. But if you don’t find me all that attractive, then why are you seeing me? Some friends suggest that maybe the clients are comparing it on a scale of “objective” attractiveness. For example, I don’t look very much like, I don’t know, Kendall Jenner, who is the epitome of conventional attractiveness in this day and age.
That’s not to say I am not grateful for the reviews I have received on TER, I certainly am! But, the site has a few shortcomings that help me to empathize with other providers who have delisted or who do not like reviews in general. That said, I welcome reviews on the site regardless. It is generally helpful.
What to Include In Your Review
I’m of the mind that reviews are helpful for any business, including ours, especially when we have some input as to what content will be in the reviews. I don’t mean that escorts should be able to tell clients what to say exactly. I just mean that we should have the option not to kiss and tell.
In my opinion, the helpful information for a review is whether or not the provider was nice/pleasant, how smoothly the booking process went, and whether they looked like their photos. Other information that might be good to include in a review is how the space was (if the provider was hosting), and whether or not the provider was on time. But, all the rest is subjective. Someone’s favorite blow job might be another person’s nightmare, after all.
Where Can You Write Reviews?
Sites that I know of include:
- Private Delights
- The Erotic Review
- Erotic Monkey
- TNA Board
- Eccie
- The Other Board
However, besides TER which seems to be pretty national/international, the rest are highly regional. For example, PD is very popular on the West Coast, especially in the SF Bay Area. TNA Board is used almost exclusively in the PNW. The Other Board is pretty much solely used in Colorado. And, I’m sure there are others out there that I don’t even know about!
How to Write a Review
Want to write your provider a review? Ask first! Make sure to ask if there’s anything they want you to include or exclude. For example, if I allowed someone to come late or early to a session, I might not want them to include that in a review because I don’t want others to think they will receive the same treatment. That’s only available once in a while.
Make sure your review is accurate and doesn’t go into the fantasy storytelling realm. Focus on the experience before and after the sexy stuff. Again, in my opinion, the purpose of a review is to verify that the provider is who they say they are and does what they say they will do, not to be an ego boost for a Casanova.
If you’re planning to write a negative review, I’d advise you only to do so if the provider is dangerous or robbing clients and after you’ve exhausted all other options. Try to work out any issues via private communication and wait a few weeks before posting a negative review. For example, if she didn’t show up to a session and still has your deposit, it’s possible she had a family emergency and won’t be able to get back to you for a few days.
