Where Can We Travel Together?
I really adore travel and I’ve only had the chance to check a few dream destinations off my list. Where should we go?
Bay Area
The Bay Area is so amazing. There are incredible destinations right on our doorstep. Just over the Golden Gate in Marin County is Point Reyes Station and the National Seashore. A bit further north there’s Napa, Sonoma, and all of Wine Country. There’s also Half Moon Bay, Pescadero, and Santa Cruz in the opposite direction. And this is only a handful of incredible destinations I enjoy here. We don’t have to go far to take a darling little trip together!
US Cities
I tend to travel to New York, LA, and Portland with some regularity. I’m generally down to go pretty much anywhere in the US, and you get bonus points if I haven’t been there before. Cities I’m particularly interested in include:
- Austin, TX
- Philadelphia, PA (I must go to the Mütter Museum!)
- New Orleans, LA
- Anchorage, AK
But I’m truly interested in seeing any city in the US.
Travel to National Parks
I also love visiting National Parks, Preserves, and Monuments in the US. Due to the rural nature of a NP trip, we’d need to have at least one session in civilization to get to know each other a bit before planning such a trip.
I’ve loved every single NP I’ve visited and would absolutely go back including:
- Glacier
- Yellowstone
- Yosemite
- Zion
- Craters of the Moon
- Canyonlands
- Death Valley
- Lassen
- Grant Teton
- Great Basin
Others that I haven’t been to yet but would love to see include:
- Kings Canyon
- Sequoia
- Joshua Tree
- Crater Lake
- Rocky Mountains
- Big Bend
- Hot Springs
International Travel Destinations
Did you know I am multi-lingual? I speak French very well. It’s not my first language, but it was a minor in college and I’ve had jobs that required me to use my French. I am also decent in Spanish. Certainly not as good as French, but working on it! Because of that, I’d love to visit any French or Spanish language destination.
I’ve had the chance to visit Japan, Peru, Turkey, Greece, France, Spain, and Italy, as well as some destinations in Canada and Mexico. I loved these destinations and would certainly return to all of them. Turkey and Peru hold special places in my heart. Both had amazing food, incredible hospitality, and a unique, indescribable beauty!
Unfortunately, when I was in Peru, the train to visit Macchu Picchu was closed, so I must go back! I’d love to stay at the Tambo Del Inka in Urubamba, explore the Sacred Valley from there, and then take the train to Aguas Calientes for a few days.
Other dream international destinations include:
- Anywhere in Western Europe
- Nordic Countries (but in summer please!)
- Any Caribbean Island
- Czech Republic
- Patagonia (Argentina/Chile)
- Morocco
- South Africa
- Croatia (Dalmatian Coast anyone?)
- Iceland
- South Korea
- Thailand
- Indonesia
- Australia
- New Zealand
While Canada and Mexico are international, they feel so accessible from the US! Can you believe I’ve never been to Vancouver, BC or Mexico City?
Have other ideas? I’d love to hear them! I’m generally down for any adventure large or small. Please e-mail me at delphine_x@protonmail.com or fill out my booking form to inquire about a travel session.
