Happy New Year: 2024 In Review & What I’m Looking Forward to in 2025

Welcome to 2025. Wow, that really sounds like the future!

2024 was a great year for me. I started off the year with a whole month in Peru. It was incredible. What a beautiful country with amazing food, great hospitality, beautiful nature, and a great chance to practice my Spanish.

When I got back, I dove right into a yoga teacher training. While the training was only about nine weeks long, it was an intense schedule. I’m really glad that I did it and deepened my commitment to my yoga practice. Thank you so much to the sweeties who helped me out with so much yoga gear including clothes and yoga mat towels to support me during that time.

I can’t believe I only did four photo shoots in 2024! I love all of them for completely different reasons.

In 2024 I made some great connections with new sweethearts and enjoyed growing my connections with existing ones.

I started this blog and restarted my monthly (sometimes twice a month if something special is going on) e-mail newsletter in October of 2024. I’ve really been enjoying writing my thoughts here. I’ve also been enjoying the conversations this blog has started with my sweethearts and with other sex workers!

Last year I worked on my woodworking skills. I built some friends an outdoor sink and a cart to hold hay bales for archery practice.

I put up my infamous “Moira Rose” wig wall using many of the wigs from my cosplays. I have some fun additions planned for the wall this year…

I helped to organize the Whore’s Delight, a sex worker event that featured a clothing swap, free STI testing, snacks, community, and more. I set up this adorable photo booth that absolutely no one except for me used.

I went on a girl’s trip to Mexico in October which was such a fun break. Nothing but Micheladas, delicious seafood, sun, sand, and laughing with my best babes for a few days.

I also made the leap from Twitter (I refuse to call it X!) to BlueSky. I’ll still be on Twitter here and there, but most of my social media musings will now be found on the Butterfly App instead of the Bird App.

In 2025 I’m looking forward to more of the same. I have some creative ideas for photo shoots I’m working on with friends, including more homages to obscure media references, cosplays, and other wacky ideas. I’m looking forward to deepening existing connections and making new ones, reading lots of books, doing lots of yoga, going on lots of hikes, and enjoying some sunshine.

I’m also really looking forward to developing my blog even more. Did you know I used to be a freelance writer? This blog is helping me scratch that itch. I have lots of fun articles planned for the year on topics like:

  • Behind-the-scenes peeks at my photo shoots
  • Booking etiquette
  • Thoughts about sex work and the adult industry
  • Kink thoughts
  • Info about my duo partners
  • My favorite Bay Area date spots
  • My favorite books, movies, and TV shows
  • Probably at least one post about why I love Duolingo so much
