Friend Photos: Hey Babe Studios (Flora Sparks)

When my friend (and duo partner) Flora Sparks puts her mind to something, she does it 100%. So, when she told me she was interested in starting to shoot photos for other escorts, I knew she would be amazing at it. She was the mind and eye behind Hey Babe Studios, which is on hiatus for the moment. But, I still want to give my beautiful and talented friend recognition for her skills and hard work!

The first shoot Flora and I did together was actually a duo shoot with the help of another very talented friend of mine, Edie Klein.

Our concept was a tea party in front of flowy fabrics at the beach. We both got vintage slips and silky robes, brought along some accessories for the tea party and headed down to Santa Cruz, where Edie met us. Unfortunately, the day was incredibly windy. It was also a bit chilly. Everything was a bit hectic, but we all learned a lot and got some great photos.

In 2021, I had an idea for a creative shoot that Flora was into. I wanted to do a witchy look with some smoke or fog. I had bought this glow-in-the-dark Ouija board years before for a Halloween party, and I already had plenty of skull accessories and tarot cards on hand. I didn’t have to buy anything new for the set, lol. My lingerie is a Curvy Kate Scantilly set. Flora, being the resourceful genius that she is, was able to source some dry ice, I think for free or relatively low cost. We had a lot of fun experimenting with it in my place, resulting in these lovely photos.

Also in 2021, I wanted to do a 1920s look. I wore my Adina Reay black set, some long opera gloves, and some accessories I found to give it the vibe I wanted. Flora’s set gave the perfect ambiance for this look. A little behind-the-scenes fact is that I forgot to put on my fake eyelashes for this look! But I think it turned out better without them…

The same day as the 1920s look, we shot this bathtub look with a bath bomb. Flora set up this outdoor tub with a propane heater so the water wasn’t terribly cold. These are honestly some of my favorite photos of me of all time. Flora made me feel so gorgeous! I also love how she played with the dappled sunlight through the trees. The slip on the left is vintage, and the blue lingerie is from Pour Moi.

During the pandemic-est part of the pandemic (2020-2021), I got really into TikTok and IG Reels, like many of us. One of the people I got into was comedian Jordan Firstman, who would do these oddball impressions. He started to sell merch, including this tank top, which reads “Stop Being Not My Birthday.”

I heavily related to this sentiment. I love my birthday. I often joke (but I’m also 100% serious) that my birthday, which is on Sept 20, starts on the first day of Virgo Season, August 23, and goes until September 30, the end of my birthday month. So, I knew I had to get this shirt and do a birthday shoot with it. I paired it with a pair of panties from Agent Provocateur.

I collected boxes from packages and spent hours wrapping them at home. I got this balloon arch thing, tons of cupcakes, and Flora already had a lot of the other decor. We spent hours the night before blowing up balloons. Luckily, we had one of those pumps to help us! We had a blast making this happen.

The second look that day was actually in the same spot as the bathtub shoot. I wore this pink gingham lingerie from Playful Promises that is still one of my favorite sets to wear. Again, the sunlight play was fantastic, and Flora did a great job of combining her creative eye and input with my vision. She is so much fun to work with!
